At HEINEKEN Vietnam, the Data Engineer role within our APAC Data & Analytics Hub is pivotal in enhancing our standardized and scalable data infrastructure throughout the enterprise. This position is based in the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh and offers the flexibility of a hybrid working environment.

Job Purpose

As a Data Engineer, you will be integral to operationalizing HEINEKEN's strategy through standardized data foundations across the region. Working alongside a dynamic team within the D&T department, your goal will be to facilitate end-to-end processes for data extraction, transformation, and storage using advanced serverless Azure services. This includes deploying models and analytical solutions tailored to specific functions within the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end processes for real-time and offline data handling, transformation, and storage.
• Manage activities like quality assurance, data migration and integration, and solution deployment, ensuring optimum value for the business.
• Implement and evolve ETL processes, data lineage, and observability for large-scale data ingestion from various sources.
• Design efficient data flows for reliable data movement, integrating unit and integration testing.
• Provide technical support in delineating business problems and crafting intelligent data-driven solutions.
• Foster a collaborative agile working environment to contribute to team success and stakeholder engagement.
• Pursue continuous self-development and stay abreast with leading analytical techniques and approaches.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

Prospective candidates should have a BA/MSc in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Applicants with equivalent work experience are also welcome to apply. Additionally, you should possess:

• At least three years of experience in an analytical or data science role.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, including comprehensive data analytics capabilities.
• Proficient software engineering skills with a solid background in unit and integration testing, and OOP.
• Experience in handling large datasets using Spark and RDBMS.
• Demonstrable experience in PySpark, SQL, and large-scale development environments (CI/CD).
• The ability to cultivate and maintain strong collaborative relationships across business functions.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and local languages.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure development environments and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• A keen understanding of machine learning model deployment and monitoring.
• An interest in machine learning and a desire to develop further skills in this area.
