Data Engineer: Contractor

Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics services company, is in search of a competent Data Engineer Contractor to facilitate data science or data analytics projects. Duties, qualifications for success, and job prerequisites are outlined below. This role demands an approximate 40 hours/week commitment for roughly 26 to 52 weeks.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be tasked with supporting a data science or data analytics project.

• Collaborate with client IT to comprehend access and utilize source-of-truth data systems and subsequent data sources.
• Cooperate with data scientists or visualization experts to define data criteria such as structure, latency, availability.
• Work closely with IT Security to evaluate the risk involved in using sensitive data and guiding its acceptable usage through the project life span.
• Construct a present and future state for data architecture.

• Join forces with the project manager and the business stakeholders to establish upstream requirements for data.
• Contribute to estimating the inputs and time required for data engineering development tasks.
• Participate in client demonstrations of solutions or presentations on architecture.
• Actively point out risks and issues to the internal project manager.
• Work hand in hand with data scientists or analysts to proactively address data concerns.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree is a must.
• Prolific Experience in Data Engineering – consuming, wrangling, validating, creating pipelines for data.
• Proficient knowledge of databases, concepts, SQL, and NoSQL sources.
• Experience in: Python ( data packages like Pandas, , SQL Alchemy, pydantic, etc.) and SQL.
