Job Description

BASIC DESCRIPTION:

Are you a talented and experienced Azure Data Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data projects? We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Azure Data Engineering, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Storage Account, SQL, and Python. As an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions on the Azure platform.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory to efficiently extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
  • Use Azure Synapse to create and manage data warehousing solutions, optimizing query performance and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage Azure Storage Accounts for data storage and retrieval, implementing data security measures and efficient data access patterns.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation, ensuring data quality and performance.
  • Utilize Python for scripting and automation tasks related to data processing and integration.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, define data architecture, and provide data engineering expertise.
  • Ensure data solutions follow industry best practices and security standards.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and data-related issues.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of Data Engineering, Data Analyst or ETL.
  • Strong communication skills and logical thinker.
  • Ability to work cooperatively on a team.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience with Scrum Agile methodology
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 (D365)
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Expertise in database migration, specifically migrating from onsite to cloud using Azure Managed Instance
