Role/Department Description: The Enterprise Data and Insights team at FactSet provides actionable insights based on consistent, trusted data through a robust framework of analysis, infrastructure, and visualizations. Our vision is to empower the workforce to make informed decisions that drive value, growth, and efficiency throughout the enterprise. We are currently looking for a candidate with a strong background in modern, cloud-based data engineering (Databricks preferred) to build and maintain stable and scalable solutions for ingesting and storing terabytes of data in near real-time. Responsibilities: Design and develop data processing and storage workflows. Collaborate with other engineers to integrate datasets to establish an end-to-end solution. Develop projects using Azure/Lambda functions or Databricks. Build and enhance the Enterprise Data Warehouse using Kimball Methodologies. Excellent planning, organization, and leadership skills to estimate, track, and complete deliverables. Provide production support with occasional after-hours availability. Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. 2+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using Databricks or similar ETL tools (AWS Glue). 2+ years of experience in Advanced SQL programming working with large data sets. Strong hands-on experience in SQL and PySpark. Understanding of Lakehouse architecture using Delta Lake or Iceberg. Understanding of REST APIs Integrations, Key Value data stores, and Caching technologies. Understanding of core concepts of distributed databases like Redshift, Snowflake, etc. Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Database - Specialty. AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty. Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP 203). Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional.
