Data Integration Consultant at Workiva

As a Data Integration Consultant at Workiva, you'll play a crucial role in interfacing with customers' functional teams to understand their data and automation needs, ensuring a connected reporting experience. Your responsibilities will include translating functional needs into technical requirements and collaborating closely with customers' technical teams to integrate the Workiva platform with their enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of the Data Management Suite. Partnering with customer technical and functional teams, you will:

  • Interact with customers to determine their needs and develop solutions with current Workiva products.
  • Consult with customers to identify challenges and requirements.
  • Create custom demo solutions for existing and prospective customers.
  • Provide project and relationship management to large customers with broader needs.
  • Configure data integration workflows from customers' systems of record to Workiva products.
  • Design queries to facilitate reporting requirements.
  • Document the ETL process from customer systems to reporting systems.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual trainings to both customers and internal teams.
  • Collect feedback and learnings from custom service engagements to refine fixed scope, fixed fee services.
  • Directly interface with customers to demonstrate complex solutions.
  • Collect feedback from the field and relay it to Product Marketing and Product Development.
  • Gain strong knowledge of Workiva products through a commitment to ongoing training.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • An advanced degree can be considered in lieu of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data structures and schemas across various systems such as ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, and reporting solutions.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and API design, including SOAP, REST, JSON, and XML.
  • Ability to create advanced queries using SQL.
  • Previous in-person training experience.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain both internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, technical aptitude, and business insight.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Up to 20% travel to meet with customers, vendors, suppliers, or attend trade shows.
  • Reliable internet access for any period working remotely, not in a Workiva office.
