About SEO Scholars

SEO Scholars is an empowering initiative for motivated, low-income public high school students, providing a rigorous supplemental academic curriculum, college admissions guidance, and leadership development, to ensure success in competitive college environments.

Position Overview

As a Data Manager under the Research & Evaluation (R&E) team at SEO Scholars, you will spearhead projects and streamline processes across multiple teams nationwide. You’ll ensure the precision and efficiency of data collection and management within our scholars’ programs, contributing to database design and integrating systems like Salesforce. This role demands a proactive leader skilled in coordinating with IT and other key stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable insights and solutions that drive our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Database Management

  • Supervise data collection strategies and maintain quality assurance protocols.
  • Enhance data models and databases in collaboration with stakeholders across various platforms such as Salesforce and Brightspace.
  • Develop and manage data-driven reports and dashboards, facilitating key scholarship metrics and outcomes.
  • Document processes and train staff on data management best practices and system use.

Program Evaluation & Capacity Building

  • Assist in evaluating programs through detailed reports and analytical tools, enhancing staff operational strategies based on findings.
  • Design new data collection methods and facilitate related staff training sessions.

Additional Duties

Engage in cross-functional collaborations and handle varied seasonal projects. Perform any other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Prospective candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and have 2-3 years of relevant experience in database management, preferably with Salesforce. Expertise in data visualization tools and SQL queries is essential, with a preference for familiarity with Python or R.
