Department Overview

The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team at PG&E focuses on data governance, quality, and metadata management to ensure the reliability and optimal use of the company's critical data assets.

Position Summary

PG&E is on an ambitious multi-year journey to enhance the management of its critical data, which supports decision-making in key business processes and risk management. The Data Product Coach will play a pivotal role in developing data strategies, fostering data trustworthiness, and improving data quality through effective governance and remediation processes.

In this role, you will partner with various functional areas, setting a vision, building a roadmap, and executing data management initiatives to ensure business outcomes are achieved with quality data.

PG&E is committed to providing competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is specific to the job's locality. Actual salary will be determined based on various factors, including skills, education, experience, and internal equity. This role is also eligible for PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Bay Area Salary Range:

  • Minimum: $122,000
  • Maximum: $194,000

Qualifications

  • Strong coaching skills with a passion for enabling change through awareness and empowerment.
  • Expert facilitator capable of guiding groups to achieve their objectives.
  • Engaging teacher with excellent communication skills.
  • Experienced mentor capable of supporting individuals and groups to achieve outcomes.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field such as computer science, IT, data science, or engineering.
  • 8 years of experience in data management, governance, quality, metadata, data security, or similar fields.
  • Alignment with PG&E’s values: trustworthy, empathetic, curious, tenacious, and nimble.
  • Lean mindset and familiarity with Lean principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Data Management Professional (DMBOK certification).
  • 4+ years of leadership experience.
