Opportunity Overview: What You Will Do

As a Data Science Intern, you will dive into the world of insurtech, leveraging advanced actuarial and data science methodologies to innovate within the insurance sector. Your internship will be dynamic, involving tasks such as building risk models, data manipulation, research and development, and much more. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a vibrant, rapidly evolving field.

Key Internship Activities Include:

  • Constructing risk scores using GIS and contextual data
  • Engaging in data manipulation and summarization
  • Supporting research and development initiatives
  • Processing data for predictive modeling and visualizations
  • Creating models to analyze behavior and evaluate risks
  • Ensuring technical accuracy in all tasks

Who We're Looking For

Professional Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate student in data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field
  • Completion of at least one data science college course
  • Proficient in SQL, R, Python, and/or SAS
  • Familiarity with a variety of machine learning techniques; large-scale machine learning knowledge is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range for this Data Science Internship is $18-34, tailored to your unique combination of education, skills, and experience. Eligible interns may join our 401(k) plan with a matching program after reaching specific work-hour criteria. Additionally, you'll start accruing Paid Time Off from day one, among other benefits.
