Job Title: Data Science Manager at HEINEKEN Vietnam

Job Purpose:

Join HEINEKEN International's D&T department as the Data Science Manager, spearheading the APAC Data & Analytics Hub from our Ho Chi Minh head office. This strategic role is central to implementing our vision to establish standardized, scalable data foundations across APAC, enhancing HEINEKEN's technological and analytical capabilities. You will lead a team dedicated to advancing analytics innovation, fostering strong collaborations, and deploying data-driven solutions that drive significant business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead R&D efforts within Advanced Analytics for a range of products or functions, applying best software engineering practices to ensure robust data solutions.
• Develop predictive models and standardized measurement techniques for complex problem-solving, like churn prediction and forecasting.
• Manage and coordinate scrums, defining clear objectives to optimize team efforts and project outcomes.
• Oversee a portfolio of Analytics prototype products, identifying and scaling high-value projects.
• Build and manage relationships across teams and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and integration.
• Lead and develop a team of Junior and Senior Data Scientists, expanding team capacity and capabilities.
• Select and manage Analytics vendors and tooling strategies, ensuring optimal resource allocation and tool enablement.

Job Requirements:

• Education & Experience: MSc/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; significant experience (8+ years) in analytics roles and at least 3 years in management.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Python with in-depth knowledge of pandas & scikit-learn; familiarity with Azure and CI/CD environments is a plus.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills in English and the local language, capable of tailoring complex information for various audiences.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage diverse teams and projects, with a strong emphasis on timely and successful deliverables.
• Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date with the latest trends in Machine Learning, Statistics, and Data Science.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure development environment and managing large development teams.
