Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making, developing advanced analytical models, and leading complex data science projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract insights from large datasets, develop predictive models, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize business processes and drive growth. The ideal candidate should have a background in statistics, machine learning, and programming, combined with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for turning raw data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Data Science Projects: Execute end-to-end data science projects, including data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, validation, and deployment.
  • Statistical Analysis: Apply advanced statistical techniques to analyze large datasets and uncover patterns, trends, and correlations that provide valuable insights to support business objectives.
  • Machine Learning and Modelling: Develop and implement predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning algorithms and techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis, natural language processing, and deep learning.
  • Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling visualizations to effectively communicate complex analytical findings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams including product and engineering to implement data-driven solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of existing models and algorithms, and identify areas for optimization and innovation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other data scientists and contribute to building a strong data science team.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and techniques.

Requirements

Education: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a data science or similar role with a track record of successfully delivering data-driven projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms (experience with frameworks like LightGBM, Xgboost, Tensorflow, PyTorch is a plus).
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data mining, and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark or SQL.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
  • Experience with virtual environments such as Anaconda and Docker is a plus.
  • Experience with ML clouds such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.

Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to think critically, and interpret complex data.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Continuous Learning: A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields.
