Job Description

In the Automotive Aftermarket business area, our Data Mining Team is set up with various roles. We comprehensively handle projects, which include data acquisition, preprocessing in the Hadoop Cluster, exploratory data analyses, modeling, implementation of data logic, selection of algorithms and ML-methods/forecasting procedures up to visualization. We are extensively networked and have strong connections to product development, product marketing, sales, and corporate research.

  • As a Data Scientist and project manager in data analytics projects, you analyze technological details and derive solutions in the context of technical feasibility, priorities, and business relevance.
  • You assume overall responsibility in the acquisition, coordination, and execution of complex analytics projects.
  • Moreover, you apply methods in the field of artificial intelligence, analytical and forecasting procedures, and thereby create solutions to business cases in our products and business processes. Here, you contribute knowledge in the further development of the big data architecture (cloud and Hadoop clusters).
  • You also develop and integrate solutions into productive systems/processes to increase efficiency and highlight existing business potentials.
  • Last but not least, you provide analytical solutions as productive services using distributed computing such as Apache Spark and on cloud systems and integrate these.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree (Master/PhD) in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or similar qualification
  • Experience and know-how: at least 3 years of professional experience in methods such as regression, clustering or classification (e.g. Neural Networks, time series analysis, ...); experience with Big Data technologies (e.g. Spark, Hive, Impala, Sqoop and Oozie) as well as Cloud systems (e.g. Azure, AWS) and relational databases, excellent programming/application experience in common tools for data mining and visualization (e.g. Python, Java, R, KNime, Tableau, PowerBI, TensorFlow)
  • Languages: excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
