Overview: Join the Insight Discovery & Computational Modeling team as a Senior Data Scientist within the Enterprise Analytics department at Cone Health. Utilize advanced data science tools and methods to generate clinical and business insights, drive improvements in healthcare delivery, and enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize machine learning techniques to explore patterns in healthcare data to enhance Cone Health's performance and service.
• Develop predictive models to forecast clinical and financial outcomes, and simulate strategic scenarios to guide decision-making.
• Provide mentorship in data science methodologies to junior data scientists and lead project teams.
• Identify discrepancies in data and analyses, and conduct follow-up studies to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
• Translate complex data-driven insights into actionable, customer-oriented reports with minimal revisions.
• Act as a data science authority during engagements with mid and senior-level leadership, demonstrating and explaining advanced analytical methods.
• Consult on advanced data mining, predictive modeling techniques, and scientific research principles across the department.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related analytical fields.
• Experience: At least five years of hands-on experience in data science, with a preference for additional experience in healthcare analytics. Proven expertise in R, Python, SAS/Enterprise Miner, and other analytics tools. Strong background in handling large, complex datasets and conducting end-to-end data analysis.
• Certifications: Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare operations or health insurance industries is highly desirable.
• Prior leadership roles and experience in supervising data science teams are beneficial.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient data privacy laws.
