Job Description

What you'll be doing in this role:

  • ​​Use data to gain insights, informing actions and recommendations that enhance brand sentiment, user growth and engagement, and media effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with our marketing, research, and product teams to design, execute, measure, and improve the impact of our marketing efforts on the world and our business.
  • Develop a deep understanding of audiences and influence media strategy by integrating data about consumer perception, sentiment and digital behavior.
  • Carry out data mining, data science, and statistical analysis, including linear regression analysis, decision analysis, statistical modeling, and advanced data analysis to aid in media optimization.
  • Create data visualizations like charts, infographics, and dashboards to effectively and clearly communicate findings and actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze and maintain media metrics to find cause-effect relationships between media data and pipeline.
  • Use mathematical principles to identify and explain data results and trends, display results, and devise efficient solutions based on these results.
  • Design and implement reporting dashboards that track key metrics and performance trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare quantitative analyses, tools, ad-hoc reports, and models to support marketing decision-making. Analytical areas may include (but are not limited to) segmentation, A/B analysis, advanced survey analysis, text mining, regression modeling.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • A degree in economics, operations research, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, decision science, or a related quantitative field, particularly using experimentation methods to test hypotheses for customer segmentation, consumer sentiment or perception, and online marketing campaign evaluation.
  • Experience with finding and manipulating large data sets.
  • Experience in statistical modeling and data analysis (e.g., significance testing, regression modeling, sampling theory, etc.)
  • Experience with using R or Python, or a similar scripting language for statistical modeling.
  • Experience measuring a wide range of marketing activities, including TV, print, radio, out-of-home, SEM, display, online video, owned media, sponsorships and promotions.
