Job Description

Work Approach

•Support Internal and External Clients in understanding Data Science design and methodology.

•Accompany senior leaders in meetings with clients to understand business needs and propose innovative solutions.

•Assist in creating new solutions, use cases, proofs of concept and prototypes by exploring diverse data sets using tools such as Python/R.

•Collaborate with other Data Science team units.

•Automate and develop solutions for existing processes.

•Be efficient and effective with basic guidance and coaching.

Stakeholder Management

Works with your direct manager, colleagues, and other stakeholders such as the Customer Service team, Commercial and Product team members. Takes instructions from manager and senior colleagues.

Strives to reduce complexity and create clarity.

Qualifications

•Professionals with degrees in Maths, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields that involve statistical analysis of large data sets.

•0-2 years of experience in market research or relevant field.

●Building knowledge of Nielsen suite of products and demonstrating the same.

●Understanding client concerns.

●Capable of suggesting ways to solve client concerns under supervision.

●Automation and development of solutions for existing processes.

Measures of Success:

 

●Planning and working on client concerns with minimum supervision within the provided timeframe.

●Works well with colleagues, communicates and presents the outcome of the work effectively.

●Upholds the NielsenIQ Operating Principles.

Technical Proficiency:

 

●Capability to manipulate, analyze and interpret large data sources.

●Experience in high-level programming languages (e.g. Python, R, SQL, Scala), as well as with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, MicroStrategy).

●Experience in working in a virtual environment. Familiar with git/Bitbucket processes.
