Fraud Risk Analytics and Data Reporting - Associate at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

About the Role

The Fraud Risk Analytics & Intelligent Reporting (AIR) team focuses on the development, automation, and deployment of intelligent solutions for reporting and analytical needs within CCB Risk. The team ensures compliance and control requirements are met, providing timely and reliable information to the right audience. We develop analytical insights around strategies deployed by our risk partners to identify and mitigate fraud, spanning every CCB sub-line of business and supporting all functions, strategies, and capabilities in the fraud space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and interpret statistical analyses to drive insights and strategy
  • Query enterprise databases using SQL to obtain relevant data for analysis
  • Collaborate with Product Risk managers and stakeholders to support new strategy and product development and monitoring
  • Write summary documentation of analyses for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Present results to peers and senior management
  • Share advanced machine learning and other execution knowledge with team members
  • Mentor newer team members in their roles

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Candidates must have a technical background and experience using SQL/SAS tools for extracting, transforming, and analyzing data.

Experience Criteria

  • Master’s Degree in a quantitative discipline with 3+ years of work experience in analytics
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Analysis, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems) with at least 5+ years of work experience in analytics/analytical reporting

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, and related tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
  • Strong analytical skills to extract meaningful business insights from complex data structures
  • Preferred certifications in Alteryx, Tableau, SAS (basic/advanced)
  • Experience coding in flexible analytics languages such as Python or R
  • Proven ability to handle large-scale, complex issues and collaborate across organizations

Preferred Experience

  • Background in Banking/Digital Banking
  • Excellent analytical storytelling skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes effectively
