Position Overview

Become a pivotal part of Blue Orange Digital’s Data Team. Operating fully remotely, this role is designed for creative and versatile Full Stack Data Engineers based in Latin America within +/- 2 hours of Eastern Standard Time Zones (NYC). Our dynamic research and data services desk relies on innovative data engineering to drive decisive strategizing and solution development across a variety of projects.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and integrate new APIs to manage increasing data volume and complexity.
• Develop reusable, testable, and efficient code using Python for data ingestion and integration tasks.
• Utilize SQL and Python to extract insights and collaborate with business stakeholders on targeted projects.
• Create impactful dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence tools like Looker and Power BI, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions.
• Manage multiple projects with agility, adapting swiftly to shifting priorities in a high-energy environment.
• Solve intricate problems creatively to enhance data strategy and leverage ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in data engineering or similar roles focusing on data integration and management.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with solid API interaction and automation skills.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker and Power BI.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and algorithmic thinking.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills within team environments.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in version control tools such as Git.
