Generative AI and ML Engineer Opportunity

As an experienced engineer, you know that machine learning (ML) is crucial for understanding and processing massive datasets. Your proficiency in conducting statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you essential for delivering customer-focused solutions. We need your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to support solutions addressing global challenges across various sectors, including fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence.

As a Generative Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) Engineer on our computational life sciences team, you’ll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data. In this role, you’ll define and direct mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. Collaborate with leaders in research and experimentation, software and IT operations engineers, AI/ML experts, data scientists, solution architects, systems engineers, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions. Your advanced problem-solving skills and extensive technical expertise will drive innovation across client domains navigating the ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks landscape.

Qualifications:

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with ML and AI or software engineering for customer-facing solutions and products
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Keras
• Experience with container technologies, including Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) like Llama, Mixtral, or GPT-4, generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) models, or multi-modal models with applications or user interfaces
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
• Experience leading projects and collaborating in interdisciplinary team environments with data scientists, ML engineers, and domain experts
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical business leaders
• Eligibility to obtain a security clearance
• Master's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with federal clients
• Experience with modern AI capabilities in ML, such as Scikit-learn or pandas
• Experience with natural language processing tools such as Gensim or NLTK, LLM frameworks like HuggingFace, and API integration and development, such as RESTful APIs
• Experience fine-tuning LLMs and creating and leveraging vector databases for Retrieval Augmented Generation
• Experience setting up cloud-based infrastructure and platform services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of evaluating generative AI models and applying responsible AI principles to LLMs
• Knowledge of LLMOps, including frameworks and tools like FastAPI, Flask, or Streamlit
• Knowledge of MLOps, including CI/CD, model training or testing, deployment, or monitoring
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Doctorate degree
