The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Office of Information Technology and Management (ITM) is dedicated to providing top-quality ICT systems and Green Energy services across a global network of 155+ country offices and partners worldwide. The mission of ITM Smart Infrastructure Services is to “Create Smart Facilities, Build Local Capacity, and Inspire a Movement,” ensuring efficient, innovative, and sustainable management of technologies for UN facilities, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our Smart Facility solutions include Green Energy, Connectivity, Security, IoT, and Data services.
To support the transition to next-generation infrastructure, ITM manages and monitors the operation of ICT infrastructure and Smart Facilities resources in global UNDP premises. The UNDP ITM unit in Copenhagen is expanding its team to support the Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives, following the organization's digital transformation agenda and Smart Facilities initiative. This includes developing an IoT-As-A-Service portfolio using sensor-based devices and transmission technologies (e.g., LoRaWAN, BLE, Zigbee, NB-IoT, LTE-M) to provide Smart UN Facilities globally.
The Global IoT Analyst will report directly to the Manager of Smart Infrastructure and Connectivity Unit (SICU) and the ICT Specialist for IoT projects. The overall guidance will be provided by the Global ICT Advisor/Chief of SIS. Progress reporting will occur in monthly team meetings and weekly SICU meetings.
