Job Description

As a GPT Payment Authoriser, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all payment transactions. Your responsibilities will be pivotal in maintaining strong communication with the Workflow Manager and ensuring efficient payment processing within the assigned deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Authorize all business-as-usual payment transactions accurately and within assigned payment deadlines.
• Maintain open communication with the Workflow Manager regarding progress or any issues.
• Complete reconciliation processes with signatories for additional release or associated confirmations for payment instructions.
• Review payment packs for accuracy and forward them within payment deadlines to the authorizing party.
• Manage assigned workload, ensuring timely responses to all queries and detailed investigations as requested by the Workflow Manager.
• Input payment statistics on a daily basis and support Level 2 Workflow Management.
• Provide support during Level 4 absence and peak processing times by reviewing input.
• Support the global team with Investran information updates, creations, and amendments.
• Provide support and training to junior team members, identifying and communicating training needs to the GPT Manager.
• Communicate effectively with Client Services Teams on the progress of cross-departmental tasks.
• Assist the Management Team in creating and maintaining error reports.
• Proactively identify areas of operational risk and propose appropriate remedial actions.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement and de-brief team members as needed.
• Assist with actions related to team and departmental projects.

Qualifications

Essential

• Experience working in a similar environment with enforced deadlines and delivery timeframes
• Experience in coaching and supervising junior team members
• Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
• A positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail and strong team ethic

Desired

• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience in accounts payable or bank payments
