Role Overview: Graduate Data Analyst

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Graduate Data Analyst to join AECOM’s Buildings team in Abu Dhabi as part of our 2024 Graduate Program. In this pivotal role, you will drive process automation efforts, enhancing our project delivery processes, and play a significant role in shaping the future of digital innovation at AECOM.

Key Responsibilities

Process Automation:

• Evaluate and identify areas for automation to boost efficiency.
• Design, develop, and implement automated tools and workflows to optimize project tracking and reporting.

Data Analysis and Visualization:

• Extract, transform, and load data using SQL.
• Create informative and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Analyze and interpret data to answer questions and solve problems.
• Identify data trends and insights, and communicate findings and recommendations.
• Continuously monitor and improve data quality.

Collaboration and Training:

• Collaborate with Project Management, HR, IT, and other departments to translate insights into actions.
• Provide technical support for automation and reporting tools.
• Conduct training sessions to ensure team proficiency in tools and technologies.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning:

• Identify opportunities for AI integration across business processes.
• Support AI solution development to streamline data analysis, forecasting, and decision-making.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on the latest trends in Data Analytics, Engineering, and process automation.
• Propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Recent graduates (within the last 24 months or by September 2024).
• Minimum GPA of 2.7 or 2:1 (or equivalent).
• UAE Nationals with a family book, in compliance with UAE labour law.

Desirable Criteria:

• Understanding of Microsoft M365, Power Platform, and Azure.
• Microsoft Certifications are a plus.
• Interest in AI, machine learning, and process automation.
• Knowledge of programming languages.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
