Job Opportunity: Head of Data & Analytics Strategy

The Head of Data & Analytics Strategy is a pivotal leader within the CDAO organization. This role collaborates closely with delivery counterparts, the COO (CIO & CTO), and business units to develop and operate cutting-edge data & analytics capabilities, aligned with SCOR's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and steer the Data & Analytics Strategy through concrete use cases and measurable objectives.
• Shape and track a multi-year D&A roadmap supporting use case prioritization, planning, delivery, and operations efficiently.
• Measure the value and impact of data & analytics use cases systematically.
• Support the definition and execution of the D&A delivery operating model.
• Manage the global workforce strategy for the D&A team, including talent sourcing and resource allocation.
• Oversee the (Agile) D&A project delivery office.
• Partner with Data Platform teams for effective data product delivery and structured data transformation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Data & Analytics, combined with strategic long-term thinking, business acumen, and a proactive attitude. Key attributes include:

• At least 7 years of experience in large-scale data initiative delivery, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role.
• Comprehensive understanding of the reinsurance and insurance value chain.
• Expertise across the full data & analytics spectrum: data foundation, data engineering, analytics engineering, and data science.
• Proven experience in roadmap development, planning, and delivery orchestration.
• Hands-on knowledge of advanced AI techniques (e.g., generative AI).
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
• Familiarity with Palantir Foundry is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Ability to motivate and create an inclusive work environment.
• A degree in a technical discipline (engineering, mathematics, physics), combined with business education.
