About the Role: Vehicle Safety Test Team

In the Vehicle Safety Test team, we oversee a comprehensive range of testing related to active and passive safety. This includes developing essential test equipment, measuring tools, analysis methods, software tools, IT systems, and databases. With vast measurement data at our disposal, automated analyses powered by AI algorithms is crucial. These algorithms are trained and continuously updated to deliver optimized and meaningful evaluations. The assignment is available for a duration of 6 months, and the internship is full-time.

Possible Tasks

  • Conduct literature research in the field of supervised learning (regression) and statistical modeling for time series prediction.
  • Identify and adapt the best methods for accurate predictions according to project requirements.
  • Create and implement Python scripts for data processing, analysis, visualization, and adaptation of selected methods.
  • Conduct and evaluate experiments with the implemented methods and analyze the results, including strengths and weaknesses.

Qualifications

  • Students in engineering, computer science, or related fields.
  • Excellent academic performance.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with a structured approach.
  • Interest in passive vehicle safety and the application of AI methods in real-world scenarios.
  • Proficiency in German and English at C1 level.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and version control systems such as Bitbucket/GIT is advantageous.
