Tapcheck is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to become a part of our expanding Data team. In this role, you will work intimately with stakeholders to collect requirements and play a critical part in developing our future data infrastructure. What you'll be doing: 1. Cooperate with business stakeholders to gather and convert their needs into executable data solutions. 2. Plan, create, and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, with SQL queries being the primary transformation steps. 3. Implement data quality checks to ensure data precision and consistency. 4. Conduct data analysis and reconciliation, assisting business users in their reporting requirements. 5. Utilize PowerBI to construct revealing reports and dashboards. 6. Contribute to the modern data stack and facilitate the transition towards a formal data warehouse. What you'll need: 1. Over 5 years of experience as a BI/data engineer, preferably in a smaller company or start-up environment. 2. High attention to detail and ability to work with intricate data sets. 3. Proficiency in SQL, including command over subqueries, CTEs, and window functions. 4. Experience with data pipeline and ETL tools (preferably Azure Data Factory; DBT, Fivetran, Stitch are also acceptable). 5. Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as PowerBI and Looker. 6. Understanding of modern data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to comprehend and articulate business issues. Compensation: $120,000-$130,000. The actual base salary will depend upon various factors such as location, experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Tapcheck maintains the right to modify, change, or adjust pay scales and benefits offerings at any point.
