Boeing Talent Acquisition is actively seeking a Lead Data Scientist Level 5 to join our team in Englewood, CO. This role requires significant expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and various other modeling frameworks. The key responsibilities include analyzing complex datasets, developing and deploying AI and ML models, and creating insightful visualizations that drive data-centric decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze extensive datasets to pinpoint patterns, trends, and valuable insights.
- Collaborate with process engineers to identify process inefficiencies and automation opportunities, partnering with execution teams to address these gaps.
- Develop and deploy robust AI, ML, and other models aimed at solving business challenges and optimizing processes.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable data science projects and oversee their implementation, ensuring production readiness and ongoing support.
- Create interactive data visualizations to effectively communicate findings.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to enhance model performance.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, ML, and data visualization techniques.
- Evaluate and validate models for accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
- Mentor junior data scientists, sharing best practices and fostering a data-driven culture.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position, requiring some onsite work in Englewood, CO. The frequency and location are at the hiring team’s discretion and may change.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics or data science.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in AI and ML techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, including the implementation of ML algorithms and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach complex data challenges creatively.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying detailed findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with large datasets and data preprocessing techniques.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest AI, ML, and data visualization trends.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in data analytics or data science.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed computing frameworks.
- Background in the Aviation Industry.
Education & Experience
Typically requires advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor's degree) and at least 14 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., PhD+9 years, Master’s+12 years, 18 years of related experience).

Salary range: $165,750.00 - $224,250.00 (based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations)
