Salary Range

Role Overview

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Nike, you will develop cutting-edge analytics systems that significantly impact business decisions. Collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team (data, API, infra, infosec, ML), you will leverage advanced machine learning and MLOps practices to power Nike’s operations globally. The role includes formulating high-quality solutions and integrating the latest technologies in statistical, unsupervised, supervised, and machine learning models.

Key Collaborations

The AI/ML team is pivotal in advancing machine learning and AI across Nike. Whether embedding teams in new analytics areas or scaling mature data science teams, you will be central to unlocking new capabilities and addressing challenging issues. Working closely with platform and architecture partners, you will help simplify machine learning at scale, including model management, A/B testing, and feature stores.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyze and profile data to uncover insights for scalable solutions
  • Prepare and verify data integrity for analysis and model creation
  • Track model accuracy, performance, relevance, and reliability
  • Apply machine learning and collaborative filtering methods to data sets
  • Build APIs and software libraries for model adoption in production
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and recommend relevant technologies
  • Embody Nike’s core values, fostering trust and strong relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of Machine Learning and ML application lifecycles
  • Effective communication skills—technical writing, speaking, and visual analytics
  • Experience with partial or fully distributed teams
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and data solutions
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar languages used in ML
  • Familiarity with ETL, ML, or analytics technologies like Scikit-learn, Pandas, TensorFlow
  • Preferred: awareness of platforms like Databricks, SageMaker, Spark, and CI/CD
  • Interest in Generative AI applications and potential enterprise deployment
