About the Position

Currently, we are seeking a motivated, career-oriented AI/Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. This is a Hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain Machine Learning infrastructure and environments.
• Develop ML models in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with data scientists on employing data science and machine learning algorithms in areas like natural language processing, graph analytics, computer vision, and anomaly detection.
• Deploy, operationalize, and scale analytic and machine learning models and solutions.
• Implement the full life cycle of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).
• Support the development of enterprise strategy for deploying ML capabilities across the organization.
• Maintain cutting-edge processes as technology and mission needs evolve.
• Analyze data sources and techniques to apply innovative, big data-driven problem-solving skills.
• Provide services related to data visualization and communication of complex quantitative concepts.
• Apply design thinking or other solution-based methods to solve problems.
• Elicit knowledge from clients and incorporate it into algorithms, models, and client solutions.
• Identify AI and data science challenges in non-AI projects to enhance project capabilities.
• Translate machine learning requirements into agile tasks aligned with client goals.
• Perform solution development through collaborative sessions with clients, partners, and coworkers.
• Contribute to solutions with machine learning techniques, MLOps practices, and architecture.
• Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 5 years of experience, OR a Master's degree and 3 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with one or more cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Oracle, IBM, Azure, GCP).
• Strong experience with Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).
• Experience developing and maintaining cloud environments for machine learning solutions.
• Experience deploying and operationalizing machine learning models.
• Expertise in conventional and generative AI.
• Experience in the full life cycle of developing various types of Machine Learning models.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including client-facing discussions and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a related field.
• Experience with analyzing and reporting on diverse data.
• Experience with multiple cloud platforms and hybrid environments.
• Deep expertise in one or more machine learning specialties.
• Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative.
• Excellent communication skills, especially when addressing senior executives.

Clearance Requirements

Applicants must have an active TS clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain stationary more than 50% of the time.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
