Job Summary
We are seeking a Manager for our Data Engineer / Business Analyst team. You will oversee resources across multiple product lines, ensuring programs are well-staffed and targets are met. This role includes leading analysis, mapping, and normalization efforts, as well as managing budgetary responsibilities for headcount cost control, capital, and expenses as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of data engineers for data analysis supporting integration and software development.
- Approve mapping documentation produced by the team.
- Lead large projects, providing status updates to program leadership.
- Forecast and allocate resources across several development programs.
- Define, lead, and audit progress on analysis processes and quality initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with standards or process improvements as required by programs.
- Establish collaborative relationships with global counterparts for efficient resource allocation.
- Regularly report on metrics related to resource allocation, software defects, productivity, and efficiency.
- Set performance goals for all team members.
- Communicate effectively across all written and verbal forms in a global context.
- Ensure clarity and timely monitoring of schedules and commitments.
- Optimize communication and status forums/formats for effective team and initiative management.
- Recruit and induct new talent to enhance team competencies and performance.
- Set and communicate objectives and KPIs to inspire high performance.
- Allocate workloads to fully utilize employee talent and growth potential.
- Implement development plans and provide coaching for maximum team potential.
- Provide regular constructive feedback and address performance issues promptly.
- Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain top talent.
- Communicate company news and team progress regularly.
- Foster a strong team spirit and lead the team effectively in a global, multi-site context as required.
Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- BA or BS Degree and/or relevant business experience.
Experience
- 8+ years of industry experience preferred.
- 2-4 years of IT management experience preferred.
- Expertise in healthcare data mapping, translation, and normalization.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards: HL7, CDA, CCDA, CCD, FHIR.
- Familiarity with healthcare data structure, components, and relationships.
- Understanding of identity management and merge/move workflows.
- Knowledge of SDLC processes and methodologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and strategic analytical skills.
- Excellent time management, goal-setting, and task prioritization abilities.
Travel Requirements
- Local travel may be required.
- Additional travel may be required based on business needs.
Working Arrangements
- On-call after-hours support may be required.
- Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.

Salary Range: $150,000—$169,000 USD
