Team Description The Compliance Risk Management Analytics and Innovation team develops the machine learning models that contribute to the organization's regulatory compliance and risk management program. This team plays a vital role in leveraging data-driven insights to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, intelligence in testing, and complaints management. The Manager of Data Science Risk Management will lead and mobilize this team towards this mission. Role Description In this role, you will: Equip compliance testing with state and federal regulations using AI and Machine Learning techniques. Conduct data and model analytics to support compliance testing across various enterprise lines of business Monitor and generate insights in enterprise customer complaints and negative sentiments Use advanced data science techniques, including NLP and OCR, to enhance compliance and risk management processes Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love Leverage a vast stack of technologies - Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more - to unlock the insights hidden within large volumes of numerical and textual data Develop machine learning models through all phases of development, from design to training, evaluation, validation, and implementation Use your interpersonal skills to articulate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals The Ideal Candidate is: Innovative. Basic Qualifications: Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s Degree plus 6 years of experience in data analytics, or a Master’s Degree plus 4 years of experience in data analytics, or a PhD plus 1 year of experience in data analytics, with the expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date At least 2 years of experience in open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis At least 2 years of experience with machine learning At least 2 years of experience with relational databases Preferred Qualifications: PhD in a “STEM” field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) plus 3 years of experience in data analytics At least 1 year of experience working with AWS At least 1 year of people management experience At least 2 years of experience with natural language processing At least 4 years of experience in Python, Scala, or R for large-scale data analysis At least 4 years of experience with machine learning At least 4 years of experience with SQL Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.
