Position Summary

We are seeking a Marketing Data Science Manager to lead a dynamic team in researching, planning, executing, and presenting innovative Marketing Science solutions. As the principal liaison for clients, analytic partners, and third-party data providers, this role involves cross-departmental collaboration, marketing insights generation, workflow management, and team development.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

Develop and Execute Client-Focused Marketing Science Solutions

  • Research, plan, execute, and present strategic Marketing Science findings to clients.
  • Serve as the central contact for all internal and external stakeholders, managing the delivery of Marketing Science outputs.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Campaign Analytics, Integrated Planning, and Channel Activation teams to address business challenges with effective marketing solutions.
  • Represent Marketing Science in client engagements and contribute to RFIs, RFPs, and client presentations.
  • Create project scopes and success metrics, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Assist projects during peak times or team absences.

Enhance Marketing Science Products and Services

  • Work with Data Engineering and Software Development teams on data transformations that support Marketing Science initiatives.
  • Develop training materials and mentor team members on best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Explore new techniques, tools, and datasets to enhance solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Create Marketing Science products and services in line with market trends and client needs.

Ensure High-Quality Client Deliverables

  • Translate results into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Package client deliverables adhering to standard templates and brand guidelines.
  • Present insights and recommendations using data visualization techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes and develop optimal solutions.
  • Manage project deliverables involving data clustering/segmentation, marketing and media mix modeling, attribution measurement and optimization, ROI/RoAS forecasting using advanced analytics techniques.

Engage, Retain, and Enable the Performance of Talent

  • Contribute to and proactively manage talent development plans.
  • Assess, hire, onboard, and nurture role-appropriate talent.
  • Set clear, outcome-based performance goals and maintain development plans for team members.
  • Provide effective feedback and seek feedback to foster inclusion and continuous improvement.
  • Remove barriers to ensure team outcomes and provide growth and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing data integrations, data science, and data-driven analyses.
  • 4+ years of experience in object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python) for developing machine learning models and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL, database schemas, and analytics data marts.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a passion for providing workable solutions.
  • Strategic leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage complex relationships and tight deadlines.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Experience with agency/marketing platforms (Strata, Core, Advantage, Media Ocean, Digital DSP/DMP).
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Snowflakes, Azure).
  • Proficiency in reporting/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Experience with Google Analytics and clickstream data.
