About the Role

As an ML and Data Engineer at XE, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and maintenance of our ML infrastructure and processes. Your expertise will help us build a robust feature store, manage delivery pipelines, and streamline the automation of model training and evaluation. Your role is crucial in ensuring our machine learning models integrate flawlessly into existing systems and enhance our operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Learning Expertise: Develop and maintain real-time machine learning solutions with high programming standards.
• Process Management: Lead the creative process in developing and maintaining a central feature store.
• Automation Specialist: Focus on automating the training, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models.
• Performance Monitoring: Continually monitor and refine the performance of existing ML models in production settings.
• Collaborative Efforts: Partner with data scientists and software engineers to ensure seamless model integration.
• Best Practices Development: Identify and implement strategies for optimal management and enhancement of ML models in production environments.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both software engineering and machine learning, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of deploying ML models in production environments. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP will be considered a plus.

Basic Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, with a strong understanding of object and service-oriented programming.
• Experience with API development and management in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Docker and Docker Compose for modern containerization.
• Proficiency in managing both relational and unstructured databases and data lakes.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills to foster cross-functional teamwork.
• A solid grasp of data privacy and security principles.
