Position Summary:
Join the innovative Advanced Analytics team at Penske as a Machine Learning Engineer, where you will play a critical role in transforming our data science initiatives. This position is perfect for individuals with some exposure to machine learning or those looking to shift their career towards AI and machine learning technologies. You'll be instrumental in enhancing AI/ML Ops within our organization, significantly impacting various business units and functions within Penske.

Responsibilities:

As a pivotal part of Penske’s Advanced Analytics team, your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing and operationalizing AI/ML models.
• Collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and platform engineers to ensure the success of AI/ML implementations.
• Supporting data scientists in developing and deploying AI/ML models, focusing on auditability, version control, and data security.
• Building and implementing applications that utilize AI/ML models.
• Leading and supporting Self-Service AI initiatives for citizen data scientists across Penske.
• Maintaining AI/ML platforms including Sage Maker, SAS Viya, and Dataiku.
• Designing data pipelines and engineering infrastructure to support enterprise-level machine learning systems.
• Applying software engineering best practices to machine learning (AI/MLOps, CI/CD, automation, etc.).
• Developing and deploying scalable machine learning tools and services for training and inference.
• Transforming offline models into real machine learning production systems.

Penske Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in software application development and machine learning.
• Proficient in Python, with strong coding skills and best practices in software engineering.
• Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, relational and NoSQL databases, and AWS cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platforms like Dataiku, Sage Maker, and SAS Viya is advantageous.
• Ability to work within a team, adopt new technologies, and contribute significantly to project brainstorming.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires excellent visual and mental focus, ability to handle and manipulate objects, and occasionally lift items up to 25lbs/12kg. Full participation in team and project meetings is essential, and regular attendance is required.
