North America Business Intelligence Data Analyst
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the role include:
- Developing and implementing accurate, consistent, and secure data sets to support key Business Intelligence Team internal metrics.
- Managing tracking mechanisms with a baseline understanding of the Business Intelligence Team's internal metrics.
- Maintaining necessary data and documentation to comprehend data elements, sources, and expected range of answers.
- Collaborating with BI Team members to sustain a data repository, regular reporting, and ad-hoc reporting for internal metrics.
- Analyzing data for opportunities and coordinating efforts to resolve data quality issues.
- Monitoring data validity mechanisms to detect gaps in data quality.
- Leveraging expertise from system and database subject matter experts to address data quality deficiencies.
- Utilizing common cross-functional and cross-brand metrics and calculations.
- Building business and data knowledge collaboratively to develop solutions.
- Partnering with IT Data Stewards and Data Support Teams to understand business rules behind available data for proper metric interpretation and problem-solving.
- Employing business acumen and stakeholder input to determine needed data, translate it to appropriate measures, and present it effectively.
- Working both independently and collaboratively with a team to fully meet stakeholder and team data needs.
- Creating and delivering Change Management Plans.
- Establishing strong relationships with Supply Chain Management and Commercial data consumers to connect data requests with business process decisions.
- Deploying basic change management concepts and processes to create plans that reduce acceptance and learning curves for new business intelligence solutions.
- Utilizing interpersonal skills to deliver planned communication and training to target audiences for new and changed business intelligence solutions.
Who You Are
Bayer seeks candidates who possess the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working with data (e.g., Finance, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, Reporting) or a Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Intelligence, Data Science, Analytics).
- Strong knowledge of the Ag Industry and/or supply chain preferred.
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills in the data arena.
- Technical competency in organizing and facilitating group problem-solving and demonstrated project coordination experience.
- Business acumen in relating data to business process drivers and performance management.
- Effective communication tailored to both business and IT audiences.
- Collaborative team-focused delivery experience.
- Proficiency in one or more Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, SAP Business Objects Webi, Web FOCUS, QlikView, Microsoft BI, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Alteryx, Paxata, Trifacta, Informatica, Talend, Ascential) or data analysis/reporting tools.
