Join Meta as a Partner Engineer in Applied AI

Meta is actively seeking a highly skilled Partner Engineer to become a part of our Applied AI Partner Engineering team. This technical team collaborates with industry leaders, strategic partners, and major cloud service providers to build and launch innovative Generative AI product services. You will play a key role in transitioning Large Language Models (LLMs) from research to production.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Utilize AI and machine learning techniques to develop and launch generative AI solutions using Meta’s Llama and other advanced LLMs.
  • Gain deep understanding of Meta’s AI/Llama frameworks and products and their implementations.
  • Define and execute strategies to drive adoption of Llama and Meta's other AI/ML platform offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with cloud providers (such as Azure, AWS, GCP) and Meta’s strategic partners on deep learning and LLM integrations.
  • Serve as a technical expert and influence partners and internal teams at Meta.
  • Promote Meta’s AI and Gen AI services through blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking events.
  • Develop reference architectures and materials for the Meta developer community.
  • Work with key partners and the LLM developer community to optimize existing generative AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Lead the technical strategy and roadmap for long-term strategic partners autonomously and maintain technical relationships.
  • Ensure understanding and proactive risk identification related to Responsible AI.
  • Effectively plan, lead, and execute projects with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate feedback, updates, and status to relevant teams.
  • Write clear and concise documentation to explain complex AI concepts to a broader audience.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, technical consultant, or partner/sales engineer.
  • Expertise in Deep Learning, LLMs, NLP, Speech, Conversational AI, AI-Infrastructure, and PyTorch model optimizations.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, Rust, or C/C++.
  • Experience with LLMs like Llama, GPT, Claude, Falcon, etc.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and/or JAX.
  • Experience building cloud solutions using any cloud platform and open-source stacks like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, and Docker.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that are highly desirable include:

  • Advanced degrees in Computer Science or related fields (BS, MS, Ph.D.).
  • Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow or MXNet.
  • Experience in building Computer Vision, NLP, or Recommender Systems models.
  • Influencing skills to build mindshare with a diverse audience.
  • Background in data science, including data manipulation, model training, optimization, and deployment at scale.
  • Experience deploying machine learning solutions on public cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Experience launching products or services into the market.
  • Knowledge of Mobile/IoT for deploying ML models at the edge.
  • Contributions to open-source projects and participation in competitions like Kaggle.
