About the Team:

The Education Performance Data Team is dedicated to utilizing data to support Children’s Social Care, Education, and Public Health sectors. Our team handles vital statutory collections for the Department for Education (DfE) and provides analyses that aid both educational institutions and internal stakeholders.

The Role:

This full-time position of Performance Data Analyst involves overseeing the collection, development, and distribution of statistical information. Key responsibilities include identifying data needs, crafting reports, conducting analyses, and maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance. The role demands precision in meeting statutory obligations and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with educational institutions regarding statutory returns such as the School Census.
  • Developing analyses to assist schools and internal teams in understanding key outcomes and priorities.
  • Adjusting to legislative changes and evolving data requirements.
  • Providing support on methodologies and data collection.
  • Enhancing processes for prioritized work areas.

This challenging yet rewarding role offers a dynamic work environment with a spectrum of activities.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with data processing tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI is advantageous.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills across various formats and levels.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in a numerate discipline, or significant experience in data analysis.

A background in educational performance data is beneficial but not required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
