Job Opening: Practice Specialist, Machine Learning and Infrastructure (English, Korean) at Google Cloud

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, data mining, and model evaluation.
• Proficiency in large language models, multimodal models, and generative AI techniques, including their architecture, training methodologies, and fine-tuning.
• Experience with open-source ML tools such as Weights & Biases and other libraries.
• Strong skills in Python, PyTorch, and Jupyter/Colab notebooks.
• Fluent communication skills in English and Korean for customer-facing roles requiring interactions with local stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance profiling tools (e.g., TensorFlow Profiler, PyTorch Profiler, TensorBoard).
• Knowledge of ML performance benchmarks, distributed training, and optimizing performance vs. cost trade-offs.
• Experience in training and fine-tuning models (e.g., image, language) using accelerators (e.g., GPUs, TPUs).
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based ML platforms.
• Proficiency in libraries and frameworks such as Transformers, CUDA, and PyTorch.

About the Job

As a member of an entrepreneurial team in a rapidly growing business, you will play a key role in understanding customer needs and shaping the future of businesses of all sizes through technology. You will guide customers with platform architecture, migration strategy, and analyze cost and performance benchmarks to help train and serve Machine Learning models at scale. You'll collaborate with cross-functional AI teams, Product and Engineering, Infrastructure, and Kubernetes specialists to remove roadblocks and support customer solutions.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers on integrating Google Cloud AI accelerators (e.g., GPUs, TPUs) into their overall cloud strategies, recommending migration paths and architectures that optimize performance and cost.
• Illustrate the power and uniqueness of Google Cloud's AI accelerators through proof-of-concept projects.
• Collaborate with customers to optimize their machine learning models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency on Google Cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and deliver technical content (e.g., best practices, tutorials, code samples, presentations) to enable customers and internal teams to leverage Google Cloud AI infrastructure.
• Travel to customer locations and represent Google Cloud at conferences, meetups, and other industry events to share knowledge, network with peers, and stay updated on the latest trends.
