Position 

Currently, Sezzle is hiring a Product Data Analyst to harness the power of analytics to improve business outcomes. Collaborating with business team leaders, you'll play a key role in defining monitoring metrics and performance goals. Your responsibilities will cover writing SQL queries, developing charts, and creating dashboards. Though you'll work primarily with the Product team, you may occasionally support initiatives from various departments like Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Support, Legal, or People Operations.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Collaborating closely with business teams to understand their prime requirements and analytical needs
  • Creating advanced analyses and reports to provide insights on a large scale that support growth strategies and enable data-driven decision making
  • Visualizing and articulating analytical results in a manner that makes it easy for stakeholders to interpret and act upon
  • Assisting stakeholders in identifying new opportunities through data analysis
  • Creating, overseeing, reviewing, and analyzing reports and dashboards, proactively addressing arising issues, and conducting root cause analyses

Minimum Requirements: 

  • An undergraduate degree in statistics, math, actuarial science, economics, data science, computer science, or related quantitative discipline
  • At least 3 years of professional experience working with data, including: complex dataset creation, reporting, profiling, and machine learning
  • Expertise in using SQL to extract data and create actionable datasets
  • Experience with Python for data manipulation and analytics
  • Able to conduct analyses with minimal oversight
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Redash, Tableau, Looker or Power BI
  • Comfortable making significant decisions in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, able to swiftly adapt to new priorities
  • A keen eye for detail and multitasking ability
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
  • Proficient in English

Preferred Knowledge and Skills: 

  • A graduate degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience in optimizing operational and financial performance
  • Experience in payments, financial services, banking, fintech, BNPL
