About the Role

We are on the lookout for a highly technical Product Manager who excels in delivering platforms that boost data scientist productivity. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of the requirements of ML teams throughout the company, build and drive a roadmap for platform capabilities, and focus on accelerating ML development, particularly for Generative AI use cases. You will also implement continual measurement metrics to gauge ML practitioner productivity.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build a vision for machine learning training workflows at Netflix, including data acquisition to model deployment.
  • Engage with a wide range of customers to collect and document requirements clearly, and prioritize roadmaps accordingly.
  • Drive execution and adoption of ML Platform’s training tools across Consumer Engineering, Algorithms Engineering, Studio and Content Engineering, and Data Science organizations.
  • Define pathways to support Generative AI within the ML Platform.
  • Specify requirements for training dataset preparation, discovery, and consumption.
  • Form partnerships with other platform teams to drive a cross-team vision that accelerates ML development at Netflix.
  • Establish and track success metrics such as adoption and developer productivity.
  • Maintain regular communication with senior Netflix management and ML practitioners.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technical product management.
  • Extensive experience in working and innovating on ML/AI platforms.
  • Deep understanding of ML/AI development tools, ranging from cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) to orchestration systems (Kubeflow Pipelines, Metaflow).
  • Experience in defining, measuring, and improving developer productivity.
  • Ability to craft and drive strategic visions for maximum impact.
  • Proven initiative in clarifying and driving completion of ambiguous projects.
  • Experience in leading and working effectively with engineers, data scientists, and ML practitioners.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to convey technical content to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong partnership skills to ensure business impact for your solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation structure is based solely on an annual salary, with options for salary versus stock options. Your compensation is determined by market indicators and tailored to your specific job family, background, skills, and experience. The range for this role is $240,000-$725,000.
