About This Role

The selected candidate will be an integral expert in fields like machine learning, AI applied to chemistry, material science, computational statistics, and applied mathematics. Your expertise in deep learning, graphical models, reinforcement learning, computer perception, natural language processing, and data representation will be instrumental to our mission. You will primarily focus on enhancing our AI-driven methodologies for novel materials discovery, with current projects involving electro-catalysts, nano-porous materials, and new materials for display technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should be nearing the completion of or have obtained a Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Physics, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields. Demonstrable experience in applying AI to scientific domains, creating data-driven models, and implementing real-system experiments is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, C, Julia, and experience with deep learning frameworks like Pytorch, Jax, or Tensorflow is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 3 years of industry or research lab experience.
  • Proven analytical problem-solving through quantitative approaches.
  • Robust experience managing large scale, complex data sets from diverse sources.
  • Optimization skills using machine learning and deep learning methods.
  • Ability to navigate and contribute to multi-functional team environments.
