Job Description

  • Combine technical insights and knowledge from the latest machine learning/deep learning research and classical signal processing to create novel solutions for spatiotemporal context awareness.
  • Utilize emerging sensing technologies to perform multi-signal representation learning, cross-modal knowledge distillation, multimodal fusion, and create novel multimodal AI foundation models.
  • Lead deep learning algorithm development, execution, and evaluation pipeline on large scale public datasets and those from Bosch business units.
  • Generate patents and transfer R&D results/prototypes to global Bosch business units.
  • Publish original research papers in top-tier machine learning and/or signal processing conferences and journals.
  • Supervise Master's and PhD students.
  • Actively pursue research collaborations with top US universities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics/Statistics or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of signal processing and machine learning techniques.
  • Strong background in applying AI-based methodologies in multimodal sensing and deep signal analytics in embedded systems.
  • Experience with the latest AI technologies such as CLIP, LLMs, and other multimodal foundation models.
  • At least 2 years of programming experience, particularly in Python.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the development and implementation of deep learning technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with deep learning frameworks.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms and principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of signal processing, information theory, and control systems.
  • Previous publications in leading venues (ICLR, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, ICASSP, NeurIPS, SenSys, IPSN, MobiSys, MobiCom, IMWUT, IROS).

The U.S. base range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $150,000. Individual pay within this range is determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience, job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. More details about the specific salary range can be discussed during the interview process.
