Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Data Science to join our Data Management & Integration team at NBCUniversal. This role involves developing a data framework, automating data transformation, and enhancing dataflows across our comprehensive data science platform. Our platform supports a spectrum of advanced analytics, such as predictive audience models, real-time data analysis, media mix models, campaign optimization, and audience development.

The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Director of Data Science and will play a crucial role in collaborating with business owners, teammates, and engineers to build state-of-the-art solutions for NBCU brands and advertisers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional teams to create scalable business solutions.
• Utilize dbt to construct data models transforming data into actionable insights across bronze, silver, and gold layers.
• Design and optimize dataflows to power large-scale analytics.
• Implement workflow orchestration tools like Databricks Workflows or Airflow to automate data processing.
• Employ best practices to standardize business processes and enhance dataflow efficiency.
• Communicate analytical insights and results to the leadership team.
• Document engineering processes, data pipelines, and system architectures for ongoing reference and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of related technical experience.
• Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services.
• Hands-on experience in building data pipelines using dbt.
• Strong skills in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Experience with data warehouses, automated data processes, and data governance.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Salary Range:

$85,000 - $105,000
