As we expand, we are looking to hire a talented Senior Analytics Engineer to be a pivotal member of our Data Engineering & Analytics team.

About the Role

As a Senior Analytics Engineer at StubHub, you will take charge of scaling analytic products such as data assets, dashboards, and tools, as well as analytic frameworks including decision frameworks and analytical models. In this critical role, you will act as a “force multiplier,” enhancing and accelerating our ability to make data-driven decisions. This is a hybrid position based in New York, NY, requiring two days of remote work and three days in-office per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and innovate cross-functional analytical data models, metric frameworks, and implementations along with self-serve dashboards and tools.
  • Develop a deep understanding of one or more business domains, anticipating and addressing the specific data needs of these verticals.
  • Collaborate with both business and product teams, as well as acting as a bridge to engineering teams, often serving as a proxy between the two.

What We Look For

  • 5-10 years of analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence experience in high-growth environments.
  • Expertise in large-scale data analysis with modern cloud computing platforms such as SparkSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python or Java.
  • Experience in building and optimizing data models and pipelines using orchestration software like Airflow or dbt.
  • Skilled in creating reports and dashboards using BI tools like Tableau and Looker.
  • Knowledge of both batch data processing and real-time streaming technologies.
  • Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management tools.
  • A passion for meeting the data needs of non-technical stakeholders.

The anticipated gross annual base salary range for this position is $200,000 – $275,000, with actual compensation varying based on experience and qualifications. This is part of a total compensation package that also includes several other benefits.
