Amagi is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Developing complete deep learning models and implementing them in production.
- Understanding business goals and developing models that assist in achieving them, along with metrics to monitor their progress.
- Mentoring junior team members to ensure the successful execution of AI and automation initiatives.
- Building and optimizing various deep learning models for a range of issues related to video understanding.
Requirements:
- More than 4 years of hands-on experience in the domain of Deep Learning.
- Experience in the deployment of machine learning and deep learning concepts on unstructured data
- Demonstrable ability to construct, enhance, debug, and maintain machine learning models.
- Experience in creating RESTful web services.
- Experience in MLOps in AWS Sagemaker, Kubeflow, MLFlow or similar.
- Exposure to Data structures and Algorithms.
- Excellent competency in Python.
- Proven research and practical experience in developing algorithms for image processing, content-based video/image analysis, object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
- Proficiency in Go is desirable.
- Exposure to building production systems using Gen AI is an asset.
- Experience with the construction and training of LSTM and transformer-based models.

- Solid coding experience: Rapid prototyping will require solid coding skills. This will help you focus on resolving problems rather than getting stuck with coding nuances.
- First principle thinking: Although we learn and gain inspiration from work in the open-source community, you will need to grasp and persuade/educate the team on the methodology you are pursuing.
- Working with a small agile team of individual contributors and being comfortable with hands-on problem-solving. Due to the open-ended nature of the problems, we emphasize fast iterations.
- Knowledge of ML algorithms in the field of CV and NLP. The ability to understand the advantages and disadvantages of different algorithms and being able to quickly prototype is highly valued.
- An always learning approach. The problem area is swiftly evolving, you will want to stay abreast of the developments in the area you are working on.
- Good written and spoken communication skills. You will need to clearly articulate and garner support for your approach.
