Key job responsibilities
Formulate innovative solutions using data and research to address broader challenges in your organization.
Take a comprehensive approach in your analysis of business operations, steering improvements across a range of teams and organizations.
Work together with senior leadership to establish and prioritize enhancement programs, seeing them through from inception to completion.
Boost operational performance on every program in partnership with your stakeholders.
Offer transparency and valuable insights to the business through BI tools/dashboards.
Handle and record new releases and updates of transportation procurement analytics tools and dashboards.
Develop analytics to uncover opportunities to optimize KPIs (capacity, quality, delivery speed, cost, carbon emissions) with our negotiations with vendors.
Cover for each project the entire program life-cycle from scoping to roll-out:
Scoping:
Analyze business problem and identify data to be collected. Communicate with business stakeholders to define business requirements for metrics, dashboarding.
Piloting:
Define requirements for metrics to monitor during the trial and build offline metrics decks and online dashboards. Analyze the metrics to troubleshoot the execution issues and fix root causes.
Roll-out:
Develop a complete set of end to end tools and metrics to execute the rollout, identify structural improvements, and measure impact. Create tools for the missing processes for the project to scale and be implemented by procurement/operations teams.
Work with multiple teams both in EU and NA. Collaborate with technology teams to develop new products.
A day in the life
As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of inventive, data-driven change in Amazon, leading enhancement projects and programs. You’ll use strategic thinking to design and implement an efficient project plan. Some managers are based on-site while others operate remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks.
Senior Business Analysts have substantial responsibilities, and you’ll tackle intricate challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility that goes beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to enhancing other areas of the business, like diversity, fairness, and inclusion.
About the team
The mission of the PMO and BI Team is to unlock value for 3P Procurement and Commercial development for the benefit of Amazon as a whole through activity organized under three pillars:
Analytics & Insights providing actionable insights to buyers/business partners through analytics, models, tools, and market intelligence;
Process & Control, managing the cross-functional processes, requests, and inputs for defect reduction, planning, and control of procurement activities;
Continuous Improvement & Innovation, driving continuous improvement and innovative solutions to automate the Procurement space and keep our 3P carriers engaged.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and steer improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
