Introduction to the Role

Join the dynamic team at AstraZeneca as a Senior Clinical Data Manager I. You will play a crucial role in coordinating Clinical Data Management (CDM) deliverables for assigned clinical studies within our Oncology R&D team. This role involves working closely with DM vendors and various departments globally and locally, ensuring business continuity for CDM processes and standards, and maintaining the integrity of clinical databases.

Accountabilities

As a Senior Clinical Data Manager I, you will provide operational support at the study level, overseeing CDM deliverables per the relevant model and DM Vendor. You will demonstrate leadership and operational expertise in planning and delivering CDM activities across study start-up, conduct, and closeout phases. Daily responsibilities include:

• Study status reporting
• Collaborating with Data Management Vendors/Study Data Managers on upcoming deliverables
• Ensuring data and documentation quality
• Overseeing milestone achievements

Essential Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• University or college degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or equivalent relevant degree
• End-to-end knowledge of Clinical Data Management with experience in Biotech/Pharma/CRO industries
• Current understanding of Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP) and relevant regulatory requirements
• Experience with clinical databases, data management systems, and electronic data capture (EDC)
• Leadership experience in leading studies, query management, and reconciliation activities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to work in a global team environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of the clinical and pharmaceutical drug development process
• Understanding of database structures and programming languages (SQL, 4GL, VBA, or R Programming)
• Experience with data standards (CDISC) and clinical data system design/development
• Ability to work effectively with external partners
