(Senior) Customer Success Data Analyst

Your Mission

This role is critical in driving advanced reporting initiatives and optimizing data utilization to enhance customer experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background in data analysis and dashboard creation, particularly using tools like Grafana and Data Mesh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Initiative: Drive key reporting initiatives within the Customer Success team, demonstrating persistence and leadership to manage projects effectively.
  • Customer Interaction: Actively participate in customer conversations to gain a deep understanding of their needs and expectations, helping to bring insights directly from the frontline into our strategic decisions.
  • Data Mesh Utilization: Utilize the data mesh infrastructure to meet the specific needs of Customer Success, ensuring effective use of tools such as Grafana and similar analytics tools.
  • Dashboard Development: Create and manage standard CS dashboards as well as executive dashboards. Develop specialized dashboards for internal use cases as needed.
  • Collaboration and Development: Participate in the Big Room Planning (BRP) process for data-related topics, securing buy-in from Development teams and other stakeholders.
  • Technical Documentation: Support the creation of .yaml files and documentation to facilitate understanding and usage of data resources.
  • UI and Report Development: Develop graphical user interfaces for report generation, focusing on prototyping and using PromQL to write efficient queries.
  • Optimization: Continuously improve the performance of data queries and systems to enhance reporting speed and accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in a reporting or data analyst role within a technology-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Grafana, and/or other analytics and visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of PromQL and experience in developing user-friendly graphical interfaces for reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage complex datasets and extract actionable insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to clearly convey complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working directly with customers to understand and fulfill their data reporting needs.
