You'll spearhead the development and refinement of essential business metrics and elevate our reporting capabilities. Your work will empower end-users to answer their own questions by providing clean, well-modeled data sets.

The Opportunity

Your data expertise will inform our product development, impacting the next generation of crypto products. You will:

• Dive into large, complex datasets/logs to create scalable data models for reporting, analytics, and ML models.
• Collaborate with analysts, scientists, product, and engineering teams to build key datasets and data pipelines using Airflow/Python/ETL frameworks.
• Develop and automate the reporting of key performance indicators for various Kraken products at scale.
• Incorporate software engineering best practices into code for data pipelines and dashboards, improving workflow and results.
• Advocate for the power of data analytics in enhancing our products and guiding our journey in the crypto world.

Skills You Should HODL

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Crypto Curious: A solid understanding of the cryptocurrency ecosystem and financial markets.
• Experienced Analytics/Data Engineer: At least 5 years in the analytics engineering/warehousing field. Proficient in SQL, scripting languages (Python), data modeling, and pipelining.
• Data Tools: Experience with AWS, Airflow, Tableau, Superset, and interacting with APIs.
• Statistically Minded: A firm grasp of statistical concepts.
• Technologically Versatile: Experience with data warehouse development and best practices, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Clear Communicator: Ability to simplify complex data insights for both tech-savvy and non-tech-savvy audiences.
• Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with ML modeling and deployment is advantageous.
