Senior Alation Data Analyst
The Opportunity:
As a data governance specialist, your role will involve introducing, maintaining, and promoting the adoption of data governance standards across our organization. Dealing with all aspects of implementing data policies and practices related to our enterprise data will be your major responsibility. Your aptitude for analysis, excellent business understanding, communication skills, and operational efficiency will be pivotal in driving progress and outcomes on our data governance initiatives. As a Functional Alation Data Analyst, you will take on a key role in initiating and enforcing data governance standards and practices within our organization. You will be a leading advocate and supporter, fueling the uptake of data governance principles and assuring the effective management of enterprise data. Your proficiency in Alation and data governance will be vital in empowering our business to make informed decisions and fulfill regulatory compliance requirements.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Working alongside the Chief Data Officer, you will formulate and update enterprise data standards and guidelines in line with the company's data strategy and risk tolerance.
- Collaborate with the company's data privacy and cyber security teams to guarantee that our data policies meet data privacy and security necessities, including the GDPR, CCPA, or CMMC.
- Manage any enterprise data governance projects or initiatives.
- Promote the understanding of data management best practices throughout the company.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop metrics to gauge the success of data governance activities.
- Provide thought leadership regarding future data governance and management techniques and processes.

Your qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a role related to data governance, data analysis, data quality, business intelligence, or data management domains.
- Experience implementing data standards, policies, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with data governance principles and related technology.
- Familiarity with industry frameworks like DMBOK, EDM DCAM, or EDM CDMC.
- Experience with data governance software like Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or Informatica.
- Experience employing project management tools and methodologies such as Agile or JIRA.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Technology.
It would be great if you have:
- Understanding of privacy and cybersecurity policies and frameworks.
- Understanding of logical and physical data modeling concepts.
- Mastery of data technologies or capabilities in Azure, Databricks, or Immuta.
- Ability to quickly build credibility and trust with internal customers and clients.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary at Booz Allen depends on various factors, including location, individual education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, affordability, and organizational needs. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annual USD). This estimate constitutes only a part of the overall compensation package for employees at Booz Allen.
