Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering and Analysis

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for data analytics and automation projects. Understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, design process flows, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Project Management and Stakeholder Communication

Manage project activities, timelines, and resources to ensure successful IT solutions delivery. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, communicate progress to stakeholders, and address any issues or risks during the project lifecycle.

Develop Automation

Use automation tools like Python scripts, SQL, and UiPath to build business automation solutions that increase efficiency.

Report Visualization

Leverage data analytics tools to extract insights from business data. Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key metrics, trends, and performance indicators to stakeholders and management.

Systems Integration and Solution Design

Work with IT teams to design and implement integrated solutions that meet business requirements. Evaluate technology options, define system architectures, and ensure solutions' compatibility and scalability.

Process Improvement and Optimization

Identify opportunities for Robotics Process Automation (RPA) process improvement within internal audit. Analyze existing processes, map workflows, recommend enhancements, and implement solutions to streamline operations and increase efficiency.

Stay Current and Be Innovative

Stay abreast of technology developments (e.g., GenAI). Present alternatives, recommend solutions, and assist in technology implementation decisions within the context of organizational strategies.

What It Takes

Knowledge and proficiency with the following tools & technologies: Python, SQL, data visualization & analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), Robotics Process Automation (RPA) concepts and tools, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) concepts, infrastructure, and database platforms (e.g., Active Directory, AWS infrastructure, SQL Server).

Effective communication with both technical experts and non-technical business stakeholders is crucial to your success in this role. You must have the ability to understand complex processes and document process diagrams for meaningful stakeholder discussions. Additionally, you should have:

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and succeed in a fast-paced, complex work environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile software development methodologies and enabling tools.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to execute and deliver concurrent priorities successfully.
  • Minimum of five years of related technical experience; some knowledge of audit, risk, and controls is preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience (e.g., MIS, Information Technology, Data Sciences, Data / Business Analytics).

Special Factors

This position is hybrid and requires local presence in our Chesterbrook, PA office. Vanguard does not offer visa sponsorship for this position. You will be designated as a Fund Access Person, carrying specific responsibilities and restrictions.
