ABOUT THE ROLE The Enterprise Data Analytics team at Peloton is seeking a dedicated and strategic-minded Data Analyst to join our expanding crew. This individual will spearhead critical projects to present and enhance understanding into essential enterprise metrics and initiate action based on arising insights. They will closely collaborate with teams across the organization to comprehend their issues and create datasets that can offer actionable insights in a scalable and maintainable manner. They'll share findings and implications with partners from various departments. This individual will report to the Analytics Manager. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON - Main focus area will be establishing key performance indicators throughout the team. - Collaborate with business partners to comprehend their issues and the possibilities for data solutions. - Supervise projects involving analysts and data engineers to deliver comprehensive data products with input and consultation from various business areas. - Indicate key metrics and dimensions considering the use cases of several cross-functional teams. - Design logical views of the data that make datasets available and intuitive to a wide range of data consumers. - Team up with data engineers to design and construct foundational datasets. - Identify and investigate emerging trends and anomalies in key performance indicators. - Balance demands and crucial initiatives to prioritize tasks based on business impact. - Clearly articulate and communicate findings to stakeholders across different departments to influence actions and decisions that advance the team’s strategic objectives. - Improve the analytics team through technical guidance and enhancements to the team’s systems and approaches. YOU BRING TO PELOTON - Over 6 years of experience developing analytic solutions. - Proficiency in exploring large datasets. - Exceptional at identifying trends in the data, explaining the "so what," and translating insights into strategic, actionable recommendations. - Anticipate follow-up queries and integrate them into analysis to address the root problem, not solely the direct question. - Contribute to the team through individual work and improvement of overall team through coaching, mentoring, or enhancing team process and culture. - Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, including the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to diverse collaborators. - Capable of independently planning and prioritizing work based on knowledge of the strategic context of the team and company. - Experience in crafting dashboards and self-service capabilities for stakeholders via reporting tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.). - Familiar with SQL, columnar databases, and distributed file systems. - Capacity to optimize queries and pipelines for efficient performance. - Experience in applying statistical techniques to understand and quantify the relationships between metrics and distinguish between correlation and causation. - Demonstrated understanding of python, especially libraries and packages focused on data processing and analysis. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on various factors, including individual performance, business goals, and if the job location changes.
