About the Role

As a member of the Analytics team at our Oakland office, you will embrace the role of a "full-stack" analyst. This position not only covers data engineering and data science but also extends to modeling, dashboard creation, ad-hoc analysis, and active engagement with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sophisticated mathematical models to forecast Fivetran's revenue trends.
  • Generate critical in-depth analyses that guide the decision-making processes of our executive team. This involves close collaboration to establish business rules and innovative metrics.
  • Maintain and enhance reusable data models and dashboards, employing a modern data stack that includes tools like Fivetran, dbt, BigQuery, Looker, and Sigma.
  • Design and manage a scalable, optimized, and automated data infrastructure that delivers real-time analytics across the organization.
  • Facilitate training sessions for new hires and partners, fostering a robust data-driven culture within Fivetran.
  • Emerge as a thought leader in the data analytics community, influencing best practices and innovation.

Skills We're Looking For

  • A profound passion for data and analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL with 3+ years of experience in data analysis and complex modeling.
  • Proven track record using analytical skills to solve problems and inform decision-making.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as SQL, Looker, Tableau, etc.
  • Ability to navigate multiple competing projects with tight deadlines, showing excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Bonus Skills

  • Hands-on experience with dbt.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Preferred academic background in a quantitative field such as statistics, applied mathematics, economics, computer science, or engineering.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, SaaS, or B2B product environment is highly desirable.
